Pigeon River Manhole Repair Project

PRESS RELEASE

Pigeon River Manhole Repair Project

In ongoing efforts to restore and repair aging manholes along the Pigeon River, Junaluska Sanitary District is pleased to announce we are recipients of a Pigeon River Fund Grant through The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. Through this Grant, the District can address the immediate need of manhole restoration along the river. Work from this project will improve surface water quality in the Pigeon River as well as enhance fish and wildlife management and habitats by reducing the likelihood of raw sewer discharge.
